ウンカ（小緑葉蟬）に噛まれた茶葉を、茶師の手によって、元々害虫によるものとされていた欠点を魅力的な蜜の香りに変えました。この蜜香紅烏龍は、蜜香紅茶（みっこうこうちゃ）のような蜂蜜に近い、キャラメルの甘い香りを持ちながら、紅烏龍（べにウーロン）特有の発酵した熟果の香りとフルーティーな酸味も兼ね備えており、非常に親しみやすく、愛される一品です。
